Introduction
Born in Tokyo. My childhood in New York inspired my love for painting. After returning to Japan, I graduated from Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College with a degree in art, focusing on creating illustrations and picture books. When I worked in the art production team for the film "18×2 Beyond Youthful Days," I learned about Taiwan and experienced warm feelings of nostalgia. This nostalgia might stem from my Taiwanese roots. Although I still have much to learn about Taiwan, like a newborn encountering the world for the first time, this delightful sense of unfamiliarity feels fresh to me. I'm also fascinated by the Japanese architecture at the Taiwan Literature Base and hope to share the joy of reading picture books with children and the creative process with adults on this beloved land.
Resident planning
My goal has always been to warm the hearts of readers through my writings. Everyday life, serendipitous encounters, and travels all enrich my illustrations. Having the opportunity to create and exhibit in my favorite country, Taiwan, has given me more inspiration to craft new stories. My latest work, "I Push and Go" tells the whimsical tale of a bear packing all his treasures into a box during his travels. Inside the box are his experiences and values accumulated from his journeys, as well as everything precious learned from others. Through the conjoining of values, I believe people can become closer friends. I hope to convey through stories: don't be afraid of those different from yourself, walk together and discover new paths. This itself is something joyful and worth looking forward to.
