Barrier Free Services and Facilities available at the NMTL Taiwan Literature Base

  • A.A variety of services are offered to help Taiwan Literature Base (TLB) better service its visitors with disabilities. Many of these services are regularly available, while some require advance reservation.
    • Reserved services: Reservations may be made three days before your planned visit. Please provide the date and time of your expected visit and the number of people in your party.
    • Regularly available services: Please let our staff know of your needs when you arrive for assistance.
  • Services available to visitors with disabilities:
    • Barrier-free, movable access ramps
    • Light-duty wheelchairs (two available)
    • TLB’s two barrier-free toilets are located, respectively, on the left side of the entrance at 27 Jinan Road, Section 2 and to the back and left of the entrance at No. 8, Lane 53, Qidong Street.
    • Taiwan Literature Base staff and volunteers shall be available to provide additional assistance.
  • Those requiring services should contact the main TLB office upon arrival. A volunteer will assist individuals needing a wheelchair to borrow a TLB light-duty wheelchair for use while on site.
  • TLB staff will help set up temporary access ramps, and a volunteer will accompany individuals into the exhibition area and provide additional assistance as needed.
  • A volunteer will assist individuals at the end of their TLB visit to return to their own wheelchair and help with their departure.
  • After departure, a volunteer shall inform TLB staff to store away the temporary access ramps and wheelchair.
