Resident planning

The long historical novel "Shoto Dreamscape" will be based on actual historical materials and facts, and features two Japanese people from this group, Nakamura Okei and Sekiguchi Takamasa. The novel depicts the changes they encountered at the end of the 19th century, how they came to Taiwan, what they did in Taiwan, and how their lives ended up in Taiwan. Through writing the stories of the two individuals, we hope to bring back the contemporary memory of this group of people that once lived in Taiwan. We also hope to open up different historical imaginations about Japanese colonization and modernization through fiction and literature.
