It's an early weekend morning, and the Taiwan Literature Base (TLB) has invited everyone to come with literature, stories, as well as paper, a pen, and their cellphones. Why? To embark on a literary walking tour with guides who know the ins and outs of the local city landscape!
The tour route extended outwards from TLB and traced the development of Chengdong (“City East”), Taipei. Whether it be fictional worlds created by writers, the local flavors of various ethnic groups, or all the other little details of life in Taiwan, all these have been captured by the perspectives and creations of each group member as they joined with TLB to create new memories during this literary walking tour. In the spotlight are the rich foods and flavors of Dongmen Market, and they themselves are part of Taiwan's vibrant food culture. Let’s go and experience these wonderful flavors together!
